The pre-work videos for this session covered some of the richest and most challenging content in the entire program: A13 (The Practice of Affirmation), A8 (Zero Negativity), and A12 (How the Past Impacts Our Relationships). These three are connected. Sharing Affirmations creates safety. Zeroing Negativity protects that safety. And understanding how the past lives in our current relationships explains why both matter so much.

Zeroing Negativity tends to create the most friction when people first hear it. It sounds impossible, or worse, dishonest. The childhood challenges material, on the other hand, often creates a different kind of reaction: something quieter and more personal. This week’s question asks you to sit with whichever of these landed hardest.

    This Week’s Questions

    • Zeroing Negativity is one of the concepts that tends to stop people in their tracks. What was your first honest reaction when you encountered it, and how has your understanding of it evolved?
    • Or, if the childhood challenges content is where your attention went this week, what did it surface for you about the relationship between your history and the way you show up in your current relationships?
    • Be honest about what this material brought up, but only go as deep as you feel comfortable.

    How to Participate

Post your response by end of day Friday.

Then come back Saturday, Sunday, or Monday and respond to at least 2 to 3 of your cohort members. Read what they shared and engage with it genuinely. You might affirm something that resonated, share where your experience was similar or different, or ask a follow-up question that invites them to go deeper. The goal is real dialogue, not just acknowledgment.
